The Dutch Oven is a Dutch invention – a multifunctional cast iron pot. Place wood, charcoal, or briquettes underneath and on top to heat your dish from both sides. Put the pot directly in the fire, on a fire table, in your fire pit, on the barbecue, or even in the oven indoors.
Use the Dutch Oven to prepare a delicious rendang, bake a boerenjongens cake, or make tasty pea soup.
Lid
The lid of the pot has handy legs. Turn the lid upside down and place it with the legs on briquettes, charcoal, or in the fire. This way, you can use the lid as a griddle for, for example, pizza or roti.
In addition, the legs on the lid make it easy to stack. This way, several Dutch Ovens can be heated with the same heat source. You can also place a cast iron frying pan or BBQ pan on top of the Dutch Oven.
