The Windmill Cast Iron Dutch Oven 4.5 qt Limited Edition Enameled
The Dutch Oven is a Dutch invention. A multifunctional cast iron pan. This limited edition has a modern look that's never been seen before. Sleek, sturdy legs along the sides of the pan, two handles on each side, and a special limited edition lid. Moreover, this version is enameled, meaning you can use the pan immediately without greasing it: all the advantages of cast iron with the convenience of enamel. Please note: unlike regular Dutch Ovens, this special limited edition Dutch Oven cannot be hung.
The Dutch oven gets its name from its ease of use as an oven by heating the pan from both top and bottom. This can be done with wood, charcoal, or briquettes. Made entirely of cast iron, Dutch ovens can be used on any heat source. Cast iron conducts heat well and retains it for a long time. Place the pan directly in the fire, on a fire table, in your fire pit, or on the barbecue. If dry weather isn't possible outside, you can even use the pan indoors on your gas stove or in your oven.
So you can use the Dutch oven for baking and roasting, for making stews, baking cakes, brownies, casseroles, etc. With just a little oil in it, you can even bake oliebollen (Dutch doughnuts).
Lid
The lid of the pan has handy feet. Turn the lid over and place it with the feet on briquettes, charcoal, or in the fire to use as a baking sheet. Another tip: make a delicious pizza on it and then place the pan over it. The feet on the lid are also handy for stacking. So, stacking Dutch ovens on top of each other is also called "stacking," and these limited edition Dutch ovens were even specially designed for this purpose. You can also place a cast-iron skillet or BBQ pan on top of the Dutch oven.
