Pizza from your own garden!

Pizza uit eigen tuin!

Pizza, what an invention! There are countless ways to make your own pizza. In a brick oven, the kitchen oven, on your barbecue, and over an open fire! We'll explain how to make delicious pizzas with our cast iron pans and sandwich irons.

Pizza from the Dutch Oven

Making pizza in your Dutch oven is very easy. To do this, you use an upside-down Dutch oven, baking the pizza on the inside of the lid. We've explained exactly how this works!

Here we explain step-by-step how to make pizza using your Dutch Oven.

Pizza in your sandwich iron!

Always make sure that you sandwich iron Preheat before use. This generally applies to all your cast iron pans and accessories. Don't feel like a thorough cleaning? Then use parchment paper while baking; this prevents you from having to deal with the burnt-on cheese residue afterward. Use top and bottom heat by cooking the pizza in a barbecue or with hot pieces of wood, charcoal, or briquettes on the top of the sandwich iron. This way, you can also prepare your pizza over a campfire!

Traditional fire-baked pizza

If necessary, trim the baking paper to size and shape your pizza dough. Top the pizza with your favorite ingredients and then place the pizza, baking paper included, in the sandwich iron. Close the iron and heat for about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, carefully check the bottom of the crust. When the crust is golden brown and the cheese begins to bubble, the pizza is ready.

Pizza calzone from the fire

A calzone is essentially a pizza folded in half. Roll out the pizza dough and top half of it with your favorite toppings. Fold the dough in half, leaving a small opening on the side, or slit the top to allow the hot air to escape. Place the calzone, or even two, in the sandwich iron and bake for about 15 minutes. The same rule applies to the calzone: carefully check the crust after 15 minutes. If it's golden brown, they're done.
