Sautéing and stir-frying

A cooking technique in which a dish is cooked in a small amount of fat over high heat. The food has a short cooking time. When we think of sautéing, we often think of searing meat, for example.

Paella

Paella originates from Valencia, a province on the east coast of Spain. There are various stories about its origins, and the dish has evolved over the centuries. We're most familiar with it from vacations: a yellow rice dish with chicken, shellfish, and various vegetables. We've prepared a delicious recipe for you. You can read it here!

Cleaning

Our paella pan is made of durable cast iron. Just like our other cast iron pans and accessories, it's crucial to clean the pan immediately after use with hot water. Are there any burnt-on food residues? Then use the chain mail, or chain mail scrubber to loosen this.

After cleaning, dry thoroughly and place in the oven or barbecue at approximately 120 degrees Celsius to ensure that the water in the cast iron also evaporates. conditioner, and you're done!

Stubborn food residues

If you're having trouble removing the food residue, you can try a dishwashing brush. However, you might slightly damage the seasoned layer. It's recommended to season the pan before use. In short: Rinse with hot water, let the water evaporate at 120 degrees Celsius, apply a thin layer of conditioner, and season this layer at approximately 180 degrees Celsius before putting the pan away.
