Grilling
To grill in your Dutch oven, simply place briquettes on the lid. How many exactly? That depends on the temperature you want to reach. More on that later.
Baking
If you want to bake with your Dutch oven, place a few briquettes, about a third of them, under the pan, and the rest on the lid. Most of the heat will come from above.
Stewing
For stewing dishes, only use bottom heat.
