On Wednesday, August 23, 2023, the Against Cancer Foundation organized a track day at the TT Circuit in Assen. Our own Jaco Bruinekool and Martijn Schimmel of The Windmill were on hand to grill hamburgers for the volunteers and visitors to this wonderful event.

The track day offered numerous activities, including racing in a Maserati or Ferrari, tagging along with racing drivers on the track, exploring the track by motorcycle, driving off-road on a military terrain in a tanker or Dakar truck, taking a helicopter flight, sailing in a police boat, fishing, driving a go-kart yourself, and games organized by the Police, Fire Department, and ANWB.
There were also plenty of fun activities for younger visitors, such as riding the merry-go-round, having fun on the bouncy castle, face painting, driving pedal cars and interactive games.
The track day was designed for families whose child has been affected by cancer. During this 18th edition, more than 150 families were able to briefly put aside their worries about their child's, sibling's, or sibling's illness. The children's gratitude was immense, and as soon as they stepped out of the car, they had radiant smiles and wonderful stories to tell.

With the event, the Against Cancer organization generated a lot of attention for Kika not only on television but also in Assen itself. During the track day, more than €100,000 was raised.
