The Barbecue Pan

Our BBQ pans, or cast iron Dutch ovens, share similar features with the Dutch oven. The Dutch oven, on the other hand, has a stainless steel handle with a cool grip, allowing you to hang the pan over a fire, as they were traditionally used. The barbecue pan has a handle on either side and a lid with a knob. Perfect for smaller dishes and stews, the flat base allows you to place them on your barbecue grill, which explains the name.

Burn-in

The products are pre-seasoned. This means they have a protective coating applied at the factory. Despite this protective coating, our cast iron still needs to be seasoned. This sounds difficult and like a lot of work, but thankfully, it's not that bad in practice. You can read how to do this here. here. More about the difference between pre-seasoned and burnt-in read it here.
