      Recipe: Potato Gratin from the Skillet

      Ingredients:

      • 200 ml heavy cream
      • 1 egg
      • Nutmeg
      • 800 g Roseval potatoes
      • 1 clove garlic
      • 1 tbsp butter
      • 50 g grated Gruyère cheese
      • Salt and pepper

      Additional Needed:

      • Skillet with lid
      • Briquettes

      Instructions:

      1. In a bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, egg, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
      2. Rub the inside of the skillet with the clove of garlic and grease it with butter.
      3. Slice the potatoes and layer them in the skillet like shingles. Pour the cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle with grated cheese.
      4. Place 6 briquettes under the skillet and 10 briquettes on a lid that fits the skillet. Heat for 45 minutes until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is melted and golden brown.
