      Pizza from Your Own Garden!

Pizza – what an invention! There are countless ways to make your own pizza: in a stone oven, the kitchen oven, on your barbecue, or over an open fire! We’ll show you how to make tasty pizzas with our cast iron pans and pie irons.

      Pizza from the Dutch Oven

Making pizza in your Dutch Oven is very easy. For this, you use a Dutch Oven upside down, baking the pizza on the inside of the lid. We’ve put together exactly how it works for you!

Here we explain step-by-step how to make pizza using your Dutch Oven.

      Pizza in Your Pie Iron!

Always make sure to preheat your pie iron before use. This applies in general to all your cast iron pans and accessories. Don’t feel like doing a thorough cleaning afterwards? Then use a piece of baking paper while cooking—this will prevent you from having to scrape off stuck cheese later. Make use of both top and bottom heat by preparing the pizza in a barbecue, or by placing hot pieces of wood, charcoal, or briquettes on top of the pie iron. This way, you can also make your pizza right in the campfire!

      Traditional Pizza from the Fire

If needed, cut the baking paper to size and shape your pizza dough to fit. Top the pizza with your favourite ingredients and then place it, baking paper and all, into the pie iron. Close the iron and heat for about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, carefully check the bottom of the crust. If it’s golden brown and the cheese is starting to bubble, your pizza is ready.

      Fire-Baked Calzone Pizza

A calzone is essentially a folded pizza. Roll out the pizza dough and top half of it with your favourite fillings. Fold the dough in half and leave a small opening at the side, or make a slit in the top so hot air can escape. Place the calzone—or even two—into the pie iron and bake for about 15 minutes. As with the pizza, check the crust’s colour after 15 minutes. If it’s golden brown, they’re ready.
